1) How do I register? Ans) Click on Join and you will receive an e-mail to activate your account. Once you have clicked on activation you will receive another e-mail with a default password.Use that password to login and then change your password later on if you would like to.

2) Which browser is best supported for nmr 2.0? Ans) "Firefox 2.0" is best suited for using nmr 2.0 although Internet Explorer is ok to use.

3) How do I edit my profile? Ans) The Change Profile link under "Members" link on the home page can be used to change your profile.

4) What if I lost my password? Ans) The Forgot password link is used for recovering password. A new password will be generated and sent to your email address.

5) Are there any terms of service? Ans) Certainly we adhere to a Privacy policy.

6) Where can I find information about other members of this website? Ans) You can find information about other members registered on this website by clicking on the Members link in the homepage.

7) Who can advertise jobs? Ans) Only employers with jobs alone can post in jobs. Do not post job advertisement for others.

8) How can I delete a material in a section? Ans) You need to check the record that you want to delete and click on the delete button at the top. If you are going to delete any record, please read this. You need to be logged in to delete any record in any section.

9) How does the delete work in a section? Ans) When a user deletes his own contributed entry, the entry goes directly to the trash. But to delete another person's contributed entry, the entry needs to be deleted by three people other than the contributed person. When the first two persons delete another person's contributed entry, the entry becomes orange and red flagged respectively which appears to the right of the corresponding record and goes directly to the trash when the third person deletes it. Please note that unlike other sections, job postings in the jobs section can only be deleted by the contributed person and that you cannot flag those contributed by others.

10) How to view entries in trash in a section? Ans) Click on the "View Deleted Entries" link in a section to view the entries in trash for that particular section.

11) How do I repost entries from trash to that particular section? Ans) You need to check the record in the trash page that you want to repost to that section and then click on the repost button. You do not need to be logged in to repost entries from trash.

12) How can I edit material in a section? Ans) You need to check your contributed record that you want to edit and click on the edit button. A window appears where required changes can be made and update button clicked to reflect the changes. You need to be logged in to edit any record in any section.

13) Can I edit a record contributed by another person in a section? Ans) No, you are not allowed to edit another person's contributed record in any section.

14) How do I sort records in any section? Ans) You will need to click on the arrow link to the right of a field in a column to sort by that field in ascending order. When you click on that arrow link again, it will sort by the same field in the descending order. You do not need to be logged in to sort records in any section.

15) How do I search for a particular record in any section? Ans) You can use the Filter button present in a section to search for a particular record by typing a keyword and pressing filter. When one filters records by a search keyword, a View All button appears which when clicked displays all the records in that section. You can also filter again on the results available from first search to narrow down to a particular entry that you need. You do not need to be logged in to filter records in any section.

16) Who can blog? Ans) nmr 2.0 blog is maintained by the website owner. You can only view the various posts and record your observation about the topic by commenting on the post which may lead to a healthy conversation. You will need to login to comment on the post. 17) What are RSS feeds? Ans) RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds are used to inform users about latest information added to the website. Typically, users subscribe to RSS feeds by adding and viewing the latest content in frequently visited places such as Live Bookmarks, iGoogle, MyYahoo or Bloglines depending on their preferences. There exists two kinds of RSS feeds for subscription in nmr 2.0, one for subscribing to all sections except blog present in the bottom of the homepage and other for subscribing to blog posts and comments present in middle right hand corner of the blog homepage. Please note that subscribing to RSS feeds is browser dependent. For subscribing to RSS feeds using Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Thunderbird, please click here.

18) How do I subscribe to RSS feeds using browsers and email clients? Ans) To subscribe to RSS feeds using Mozilla Firefox, the following are the steps
a) If your preferred subscription feeds are iGoogle,MyYahoo or Bloglines, please sign into your account in order to save your subscriptions.
b) Click on the RSS icon in the address bar or at the bottom of the nmr 2.0 homepage to subscribe to all sections except blog. For those desiring the blog section. click on the RSS icons present in the middle right hand corner of the blog homepage for subscribing to blog posts and comments.
c) Click on your preferred feed to subscribe.
To subscribe to RSS feeds using Internet Explorer, the following are the steps
a) If your preferred subscription feeds are iGoogle,MyYahoo or Bloglines, please sign into your account in order to save your subscriptions.
b) To subscribe to iGoogle, click on "Add Stuff" in iGoogle. In the "Add gadgets to your homepage" window, click on "Add feed or gadget" available at the bottom left hand corner and enter the Feed URL as http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/rss/rssnmr2.php. For those desiring the blog section enter the Feed URL as http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/blog/?feed=rss2 and http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/blog/?feed=comments-rss2 for subscribing to blog posts and comments respectively.
c) To subscribe to MyYahoo, click on "Add Content" in MyYahoo. Then click on "Add RSS Feed". Enter the Feed URL as http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/rss/rssnmr2.php. For those desiring the blog section enter the Feed URL as http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/blog/?feed=rss2 and http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/blog/?feed=comments-rss2 for subscribing to blog posts and comments respectively.
d) To subscribe to Bloglines, click on "Add" available at the top left hand corner in Bloglines and enter the Feed URL as http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/rss/rssnmr2.php. For those desiring the blog section enter the Feed URL as http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/blog/?feed=rss2 and http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/blog/?feed=comments-rss2 for subscribing to blog posts and comments respectively.
To subscribe to RSS feeds using Mozilla Thunderbird, the following are the steps
a) In the New Account Setup window, select "RSS News & Blogs" and Click Next
b) In the Account Name window, enter an account name of your choice. For example, "nmr 2.0 RSS"
c) Click Finish to create the account
d) Right-Click on the Account Name "nmr 2.0 RSS" and choose "Subscribe"
e) In the RSS Subscriptions window, Click Add
f) In the Feed Properties window, enter the Feed URL as http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/rss/rssnmr2.php. For those desiring the blog section enter the Feed URL as http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/blog/?feed=rss2 and http://www.nmr2.buffalo.edu/blog/?feed=comments-rss2 for subscribing to blog posts and comments respectively.
g) Close the Feed Properties window.
